  • What is Lofrix Eco Gel?

    Lofrix Eco Gel is a clear amber gel. It is designed to improve the efficiency of your car’s engine, make it less polluting, save you fuel, and protect your engine’s components.

  • How does Lofrix Eco Gel work?

    Lofrix Eco Gel uses the oil in your engine as a carrier to get it to the important components. It does not blend with the oil but gets transported around your engine when it’s running and, in the process of creating a protective bond with the metal, removes unwanted deposits. This then reduces friction, which in turn protects your engine’s moving parts, ensuring a cleaner burn, meaning less emissions and more fuel saving.

  • How does Lofrix Eco Gel help the environment?

    The emissions from a vehicle’s exhaust consist of particles of soot, unburned fuel and harmful gases which pollute the air, particularly in towns and cities. Lofrix Eco Gel dramatically reduces this pollution and helps in the fight against climate change.

  • How will my vehicle benefit from being treated with Lofrix Eco Gel?

    It will make it less polluting, which is good for everybody: pedestrians, cyclists and car drivers themselves. You should also notice an improvement in how your vehicle drives and it should feel more responsive – and most users report their car is quieter. Importantly for your pocket, you will save fuel and get more miles to the gallon. What you won’t notice immediately is that it will protect the inside of your engine, but it will, meaning your engine parts last longer and you will have fewer maintenance problems in the future.

  • How do I use Lofrix Eco Gel?

    Easy. We suggest following these simple instructions:

    1. Apply the Lofrix Eco Gel when the engine is warm. If it is cold weather we suggest warming the bottle on a radiator or the vehicle engine, or by standing the bottle for a short while in hot water from the tap. Then the Lofrix Eco Gel will pour more easily.
    2. Wipe any dirt or debris away from your oil filler cap on the top of your engine.
    3. Remove the oil filler cap and pour in the Lofrix Eco Gel.
    4. Replace the oil filler cap, taking care not to get any dirt or debris into the engine.
    5. Put the empty bottle in the recycling bin.

    You can then drive the vehicle as normal.

  • When will Lofrix Eco Gel start working?

    Lofrix Eco Gel starts working immediately, and continues to work as you drive the vehicle. It reaches its best performance after a couple of hundred miles or so of driving and then maintains its benefits of lower emissions, less fuel use and better performance as you keep on driving.

  • Do I have to re-treat my engine? If so, how often?

    We recommend you re-treat your engine with each oil change. You don’t need to “top up” the Lofrix Eco Gel when you add oil – only when the old oil is replaced. While Lofrix Eco Gel will extend the life of your engine components, you should continue with normal regular vehicle maintenance (such as oil changes).

  • What vehicles are suitable for treatment with Lofrix Eco Gel?

    Lofrix Eco Gel is suitable for all conventional motor vehicles. This includes all petrol and diesel cars, vans, SUVs, trucks/lorries/HGVs and buses powered by standard internal combustion engines.
    We don’t recommend Lofrix Eco Gel for use in motorcycles with wet clutches, as the friction reducing properties of the product may prevent some components working as they are designed to.

  • Can I use Lofrix Eco Gel in other applications?

    Yes. Although we sell Lofrix Eco Gel mainly for use in car engines, it can be used in other applications without harm. However, we have a range of products which are aimed specifically for industrial and other domestic uses. The Lofrix basic technology has more than 18,000,000 hours of successful use in lots of industrial applications e.g. in the wind industry, hydraulics, manufacturing, aerospace, paper making, construction and many more.

  • Where are Lofrix products manufactured?

    We manufacture all of our products in the UK, where we maintain a high level of quality.

  • Is Lofrix Eco Gel dangerous to use?

    No. Lofrix Eco Gel does not require special precautions for the user – although, like many chemical products, we would advise that it should be handled carefully. Avoid contact during pregnancy, wash hands thoroughly after handling and do not eat, drink or smoke when using the product. As it is classed as a marine pollutant it shouldn’t be put into water courses. If you get it on your hands, then we advise you to wash it off with warm soapy water, using neat washing up liquid to remove it if necessary.

  • Will Lofrix Eco Gel harm my vehicle?

    No. However, with older, high mileage vehicles (especially diesels) you may notice an increase in blue or black exhaust smoke after applying Lofrix Eco Gel and running the vehicle. This might seem like it has harmed your engine. It hasn’t. This is normal and the exhaust smoke will clear after a short while and is merely the Lofrix Eco Gel removing unwanted engine deposits.

  • What volumes is Lofrix Eco Gel sold in?

    Lofrix Eco Gel is currently being sold in a bottle containing 60ml of product, which is enough to treat the average domestic car engine. If you have a larger vehicle, you may require more product, so we have a 90ml option for you – this is sufficient to treat 9 litres of engine oil. We recommend putting an amount equivalent to 1% of the oil already in the engine. Don’t worry if this isn’t exact, Lofrix Eco Gel will still do its job! If you need more, just get in touch.
